What’s been happening:

My four years at Penn State were enchanted ones. All Arts and Letters students, regardless of major, also were required to take courses in History, Sociology, Psychology, Literature, Foreign Language, Philosophy, Mathematics, Science, Fine Arts, and Physical Education (which included proficiency in swimming). The concentration in our major was thus informed by the collected wisdom of other related disciplines. I also learned the wisdom of living life by experience love gained and lost, the philos of fraternity, the profound feeling of solidarity when we "raised a song" at Autumn football games, the early A.M. exchanges of confidence with roommates, talking to a friend through a family crisis, and preparing for the day when we must leave this most special place.
